We have added 1 new size 11 seed beads and 4 new size 11 Delica beads to our range this month.
Anyone who has seen our Delica display will know that we have them in number order. Gordon had great fun fitting DB007 into the 1st row and moving ALL of the others along!
11HM1051 Galvanized Silver £4.50 for 25g
DB007 Brown Iris £3.75 for 10g
DB857 Matte Smoky Amethyst £3.95 for 10g
DB1785 White Lined Cobalt AB £3.95 for 10g
DB1792 White Lined Dark Smoky Amethyst £3.75 for 10g
Our Delica bead numbers are the same as those used by Miyuki, and have had HD in front, but this is now changing to simplify your use of the search function on the website .
Over the coming days, we will be changing all the description codes to the same DB prefix that Miyuki use. This will be done as quickly as possible to minimise confusion. Please note that to avoid waste, pack labels will only be changed when we need to re-print them, so if you order DB001, the label on the pack you receive may still say HD001.
This is my first 3D Pod pattern and is a fantastic design by Cheryl Hamilton who has kindly given me permission to use it. The pattern is available to download and there is a printed version too. This great design is also available as a kit and although stocks are very limited at the moment, I have got beads on their way to make up more! The kit comes complete with instructions, bead map, working chart, needle, thread, all the Delica beads needed, the little bell and wadding.
Cheryl’s Santa Pod Pattern £8.95 Kit £19.50
Our bead groups wanted a new project for Christmas, so I designed this Snowfall Bauble. It is available as a pattern to download or you can ask for a printed copy. Fits a 6cm bauble but can be altered.
Festive Tea Lights 2 is my latest design for Halloween and is available as a pattern for £9.95 or full kit for £22.50. The kit does not include an LED tea light. Patterns are available to download or you can request a printed copy (normal postage charges apply).
The main tea light cover is the same design as Festive Tea Lights 1, so if you already have this, then you can buy the Add-on pattern that just explains how to make the spider and web.
Everyone had a great time at the free workshop yesterday (at Haydock Park Bead Festival) making little acorn charms and a big thank you to Liz, Lisa, Lynda and Janice for giving their precious time to help out. The pattern is now available at www.halfpenneys.co.uk. Download the pattern for free, or get a printed copy for a small charge. You will find it under the Free Stuff section of Patterns and Guides or just search for acorn.
Acorn Charm I – the size made during the workshop. 2 other pattern variations available.
Well, until recently, mine was full of sticky labels showing me which beads were which. They were good up to a point but they didn’t keep their stickiness for long.
Then I discovered alphabet beads and pinned those on instead.
As is the case with evolution I decided to spruce them up a bit with some crystals and glue them in place. Problem solved!
I needed more than 1 set but only had 1 W in the bag. I couldn’t find what I needed online so I had to buy a full bag of mixed letters. What to do with all the rest? So in the stash they went.
Then I thought, if I love these so much then wouldn’t it be great to share the idea with everyone else . So I bought some more bags and with a lot of sorting out I was soon able to make up more sets. Now they are available for you to buy from the Accessory page of our shop (or just search for pins), and each set comes in a hand-made box so it makes an ideal gift.
I just love beading, don’t you?
Alphabet pins available in White or Pastel Colours
All our bicones can now be viewed by colour or by size. Bicones are Chinese, unless they are specified as Preciosa (made in Czech Republic).
If you view by colour, you can then look at the options to see what sizes we have available.
If you view by size, you will see only the colours that are available in that size, and then you can look at the options to see all the other sizes sizes available too.
