Even though we have reached the 5th of December, it’s not too late to enjoy the fun of one of our Advent Calendars. There are just a handful remaining for this year and I have taken over 15% off the original price of £49.95.
You can now get one of the final remaining treats for just £40.00 and still have plenty of time to enjoy the festive projects. So don’t delay, get yours now at this reduced price.
I’m having a whale of a time trying to design new decals for our tote and shopping bags. These are hot off the press this morning.
They are big enough to carry your projects to your bead group, or for your bead fair visit. They make ideal gifts and raffle prizes too.
Now you can have a whale of a time too – especially while you are still building your bead stash. It’s a pleasure that will never end isn’t it? Other designs are still available.
These spacer bars are now available in packs of 6, and there is also a mixed pack with 3 designs (2 of each design).
I have used similar spacer bars very successfully with the snowflake forms and here’s one I did a couple of weeks ago. I will be providing more information about our snowflake project, along with more photos, after our bead group meetings next week, so watch this space!
All of the new colours we received on the lastest delivery are now available to order. There are quite a few this time, so here we go with the Delica beads first!
Delica beads in 10g packs and also available By the Gram.
Now for some Miyuki seed beads in sizes 8 and 11, usually in 25g packs, except Duracoat, which are in 15g packs.
The last 2 new beads are a size 15 Miyuki seed bead in 15g pack and a drop bead available in 30g pack.
Just finished sorting 2 deliveries and the website has been updated. DB010, DB200, DB201, and DB202 are back in stock, along with many others. It’s going to be a busy few days weighing everything now, but it will keep us out of mischief!
There are also quite a lot of new colours too, and I hope to get these on the website over the weekend, so I’ll keep you posted.
Well, that’s been a busy few days, making up more of our very own Advent Calendars. These special Advent Calendars are now available on the website for immediate delivery, priced at £49.95 with free postage.
There are 24 gifts inside, so you get a surprise each day, and new or experienced beaders can make 5 festive projects in the run-up to Christmas Day.
It takes me and Gordon several days to make them up in small batches as we do everything ourselves here in The Beading Room. From weighing and measuring all the contents, cutting and scoring the card, wrapping up your delicous gifts and packing them in a project box that you can use for many years of happy beading.
Liz, Bev and I had a busy time in the workshops at Haydock Park Bead Fair yesterday.
Kathy, Bev and Liz ready for everyone to ‘Ave A Go!
This time we ran 3 x 1-hour workshops during the day. The workshops are free with the materials being donated by ourselves at Halfpenney’s and Nigel & Mimi at Mr Bead, the organisers of the show.
It was lovely to see so many of you eager to learn something new. For some it was a new stitch, and for others it was the start of a journey into the wonderful world of beading. There were lots of finished bracelets being modelled after the workshop which was fantastic.
Liz’s bracelet design is worked with 2-needle Right Angle Weave (RAW) and features either a skull or rose as the focal bead. The pattern is now available to download free of charge. There is a small charge if you want me to print it out for you.
The bracelet has now become a permanent fixture in our Drop In To Bead range, and is suitable for new and experienced beaders.
Pattern to download – free of charge Printed copy of pattern £1.50 Kit £7.50
Just search for skull to get more information about the option you want. Different colours are available.
Drop In To Bead is our range of designs that are suitable for new or experienced beaders. Each is a beadweaving project specifically designed to make up in an hour or 2. These are the 2 latest designs:
Annabel is a chunky style with 8mm glass pearls in the centre, and is available as a kit in either Bronze or Purple.

This tea light cover is a great choice for that special romantic event, whether it be a wedding, engagement, anniversary, Valentine’s dinner or just a nice evening in. A colour chart and a word chart are provided so that you can use which you prefer.
The tubular peyote cover is made using 2 colours of Delica beads and the hearts are then made using mainly size 11 seed beads in the same colours. A size 8 seed bead is used at the point of each heart, but a size 11 bead could be used instead.
I joined the hearts using jewellery elastic for a snug fit, but you could sew them together if you wanted to.
The kit is now available for £21.50 and includes all the beads, needles, thread and elastic needed. You will need to provide your own LED tea light and add a dab of your own jewellery glue (or clear nail varnish) to secure the knot in the elastic.
Alternatively, you can use your own materials and the pattern is available as a download or printed copy for £9.95.
