Snowman Sammy Pattern

A festive snowman designed by Kathryn Halfpenney that is about 10cm (4″) tall and about 5cm (2″) wide. Techniques used are tubular netting with loops, flat peyote stitch with picots, circular peyote and tubular peyote.

Full instructions with diagrams are provided over 11 pages, although some experience of tubular netting and peyote stitch is recommended.

Description

Suggested materials for the snowman:

Size 11 seed beads in 5 colours : Ceylon White (11HM528) 25g; Crystal AB (11HM250) 30g; Black for hat (11HM401) 10g; Green for scarf and holly (11HM354) 5g; Red for holly berries (11HM408) x 9 beads

6mm Fire polished beads in Jet or Jet AB for eyes x 2, Orange bicones for nose – 1 of each of 4 sizes – 6mm, 5mm, 4mm, 3mm, Polystyrene ball (or similar) 1 of each of  2 sizes – 4mm, 3mm

You will also need your usual beading equipment, including scissors, needle, mat and thread of your choice. I used black and white Nymo D.
